Protecting your layers deleted by mistake

Hello, I don't understand why when we lock a layer, it can be still deleted.

We have in V4 an edit mode and in V5 the media/ columns state butI didn't find a way to protect a bad action of deleting a layer by mistake.

I activated the space delete but it's not enough for me.

When we are in a rush and deleting medias or values... we may delete the whole layer selected.

The padlock should protect that, no ?
