Multiply blend layer over add blend layer creates grey

Hi,

I have one layer multiplying over another layer that's adding. It looks fine at when everything is at 100% opacity, but when I reduce the opacity of the add layer to fade it in, it fades toward grey at 50% before it fades out to zero. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Thanks!

  • Hello @goto10,

So far, it seems correct and similar to what does Photoshop, but it's hard to understand your issue without a proper project.
Could you create a very simple project made of shaders (so there is only the .millumin file to upload) ?

  • Hey, Phillipe-
Here's a sample project. To reproduce, fade the layer labelled "add' in and out. As it approaches 50%, the black fades to grey. It makes it impossible to use a multiply layer to luma mask out the layers below.

    Thanks for your help!

  • Hello @goto10,

Ok, we reproduce this issue, that happens in a very specific case.
We sent you an intermediate version with a fix (check your emails).

    Best. Philippe
