Syphoner & Yosemite

Hi there,

I just got a new iMac with preinstalled Yosemite. Now "Syphoner 2" is not opening. On my older iMac I am still working with Mountain Lion and it works great. Is there a way to fix it? I need it a lot...

Thanks for answering.

Greetings
Sven

  • On the syphoner website, there is this information :
Attention! If you're using Syphoner v1.0 on MacOS 10.9 and above, you'll have to deactivate AppNap on Syphoner.
Go to you Applications folder, select Syphoner and hit cmd+i. There you'll find a checkbox to deactivate AppNap.

    Maybe it can help :-)
Or maybe, you have to wait for an update.
Alternatively, you can use Screan Capture Syphon : http://techlife.sg/ScreenCaptureSyphon/

  • Hello @benjamin and @burner1983

Regarding to that post, it seems that Syphoner will not work with Yosemite(MacOS 10.10) until the next update.

SyphonCaptureScreen looks like a good alternative. @benjamin, have you already tried it on Yosemite?

  • Hi,
SyphonCaptureScreen works great with Yosemite and Millumin.
