how to combine masks in different layers

edited November 2014 in MAIN
If I have 8 layers containing masks on top of a base layer, how can I combine these in any arbitrary combination so the masks are added to each other? (and show the base layer

I tried the alpha matte blending modes and this is always masking the layer below, not the bottom, base layer. Any way to achieve this?

  • Hello @kaosbeat,

You must create a composition to composite all your 8 layers into a single one. Then you can use "alpha matte" blending. It's the same workflow as in After Effects.

If you have static masks (I mean, drawn directly in Millumin), you can stack them directly in a single layer. See this tutorial.
