Editing timelines during show.

I honestly tried to goole this question but coul not find the answer :)
Every time I go into timeline to edit it - whole output changes to that timline's canvas. For example during rehearsal I want to keep main composition running and just edit this timeline offline. Or have this timeline running and edit it but see it on the proper canvas with other canvases for other outputs together.
My canvas goes into E2 and there splits for multiple screens so every time I edit timeline - it's a complete mess on the screens.

This is a feature request : running the dashboard on the outputs only, and editing the timeline in Millumin's interface only (or the contrary).
We have been working on such a feature (called "silent edition") and we hope to release it this year in the current beta phase. This is not a promise however.
For now, you can use the feature "freeze outputs" (this is not exactly what you expect but it is worth mentionning it).

I would also be very interested in the silent editing feature. Actually (I know its technically not that easy) it would be great if there would be an additional option for editing timeline with live preview in the actual scene without showing the timeline preview but the selected dashboard column.
The first feature in silent editing can be amazing if you have Live Cams integrated and you try to manually zoom or pan to something and then on the next click reveal the scene. So it would edit not only silently a timeline but also a future scene.
The second feature would be great if you do live compositing. For Example: Editing a timeline that is only a part of a picture with other pictures in the column beneath it. But this may be also possible without timeline work for now. (It would be a similar feature like in After Effects where you preview different precomps).

+1 for this feature. Being able to edit a timeline whilst a show is 'online' would be a huge game-changer for us, and enable us to replace many Pixera shows with Millumin.
