Hello,

I'm begginner on Millumin !

I run a video with Millumin V4, I want to add surtitles but I want them separate from the video.

I used Glypheo for another show, but I had to launch each surtitle by myself. It was perfect for this show because it was not a video, but actors on stage.

This time, I would like to avoid hundred of "tops" because the surtitles can be synchronized with the video. But not in the same file ... Because I would like to put them in different places on my screen.

I tried to be as clear as possible, I hope it was !

    Hello @Berangere,

    Sorry, Millumin does not support .SRT files.

    It is not ideal solution, but you could capture the result of a SRT player (with the "screen capture" media of Millumin).

    Hello @Berangere ,

    You can create a movie file with your .srt, using Davinci Resolve for example. And if you use Apple ProRes 4444 (or HAP aplha), you can have a movie with alpha in Millumin.

    For more flexibility, (change words, fonts, colors in subtitles..)I

    I would put all my subtitles in Glypheo, and syphon them into millumin.

    Then, in Millumin make a timeline with two tracks.

    • One (video) track with the video to be subtitled
    • The other (DATA-OSC) track to send cues to Glypheo to have right subtitles in sync.

    This way, you still can change everything you want without re-exporting a subtitle movie.
