Integration with Pixilab Blocks

It’s quite niche, I’m aware, but in my current company we’re using a CMS system called Blocks to deliver content to screens in an exhibition context.

Their endpoint software is Kiosk-Ubuntu running Chromium, sending some secret-sauce information to the Blocks server about resolution, MAC address, and other details. I have a good relationship with the parent company, Pixilab, and my hope is to develop a standalone plugin for Millumin that integrates with their backend.

My question for Anome: since the BrowserPlugin.bundle almost does this already, I would like to ask whether the source code could be made public on GitHub or elsewhere. Probably that’s out of the question—but then at least I’ve asked :-)

Thank you all for the continuous effort with Millumin. It’s truly great!

Best, Kasper

  • Hello @CosmicZ,

The code source of the "browser" media will not be made public, sorry.

Why not developping a small application outputting to NDI or Syphon to do so ?

    Best. Philippe

  • That's what I expected but I had to ask :-)

It's not a bad idea to go for Syphon/NDI but I would have enjoyed making it controllable from within Millumin communicating canvas sizes etc. upstream to the Blocks server.

    Thanks
