2 DeckLink 8k Pro Cards Naming

Hello,

I have a set up of a Mac Studio with a sonnet tech enclosure Echo II DV, The enclosure has 2 dedicated TB busses and I have installed 2 decklink 8k pro cards. The problem comes down to millumin seeding both cards with the same name even after renaming in the desktop video app. Moreover, when assigning outputs millumin seems to be confused between which card to use for the assigned port since they are the same name?

I hope someone has a solution to this.

    Hello @xsanabria,

    To identify the devices, Millumin does not use the name of the Blackmagic device but its identifier that is unique (1695937568 for example).

    However, if you change the name of your device, you would have to restart Millumin so it takes into account. Did you restarted it ?

    Lastly, many people uses 2 Decklink 8K Pro and it works fine. However, be sure you correctly set up your card in Blackmagic Desktop Video, especially the "connectors" :

    Thank you for the feedback. I tried restarting millumin and still sees both cards with the name of the one that was renamed last. The connectors are set accordingly.

    I've got a Mac Studio with a sonnet tech enclosure Echo II DV and two declink duo 2 and for me it's the same than xsanabria.

    8 signals SDI named SD1 to SD8 in the balck magic deskstop video setup

    in millumin i've got :

    SD5 (device indentifier 1)

    SD5 (device indentifier 2)

    SD6 (device indentifier 1)

    SD6 (device indentifier 2) etc... to SD8

    Here the Millumin inputs menu. Note that the sound inputs are correctly labelled.

    Previously, I had a SONNETTECH ECHO Express SE III card with a single Thunderbolt port for both PCIe cards, and the cards were correctly named in Milumin.

    Since switching to a SONNETTECH ECHO II DV card with a dual Thunderbolt Port, (a port for each PCIe card) I've had this naming problem in Milluminum.

    A TeamViewer session is only possible for me at the beginning of November when i returned on the workstation.
