Our company bought one this year, but it didn't work. Despite MST is supported on Yosemite. We have been in touch with Tripplite for 2 months, and after several attemps, we should finally reach one of their engineer next week. We'll post info there.
After much emails (mainly asking again and again), this device does not seem to be compatible with Macintosh. Despite OSX Yosemite supports MST and all recent Macintoshs got the right DisplayPort.
Anyway, here is the reply :
I am afraid that this is a limitation of Mac OS X, which does not allow for full functionality of MST hubs. When connected, you will be able to mirror the same image on all of the connected monitors, but are not able to extend video across multiple screens, or to combine the image in video wall mode.
