I do not understand why the fade doesn't work when the media is looped.

    Helle @peppinoline,

    This is the expected behavior : the "automatic transitions" only apply when the media is changed on the layer.

    If you want to create a seamless video-loop, you could create a composition with a custom fade (opacity key frames).
