Audio routing in V5

edited July 24 in MAIN

Bonjour,

Merci.

Hello,

I have a show that uses 6 audio outputs, 4 of which are sent in a sound card and 2 by the L/R of the earphone jack. When I send pink noise in the L/R of the headphones, they still play in the sound card... see photos attached.

Is it possible to get feedback in the coming weeks? Thank you.

  • Hello @domhawry,

From what I see in your screen captures, you are sending 2 audio-routings (in 2 different layers). So, it looks like it is the expected behavior.

Disable the audio-routing on your bottom layer, then check the vumeters of your audio card (the drivers might provide a small application to do so, or use a software such as Audacity). You should see your pink-noise only from the middle layer (the one using the audio-routing).

  • Hi, yes I want to send both layers to different audio output. But when I only play the media on the headphones output layer, it still goes out through the scarlett... that doesn't make sense...

It also look like it was a temporary bug, cause we manage with a restart to have it routed correctly but i'll have to do more tests to see if it still occurs...

I was wondering if you had that kind of issues before?

    Thank you.

  • Hello @domhawry,

    Never saw such an issue.

Be sure there was no other audio-routing outside Millumin : for example with Loopback if you use it, or within the drivers of your audio device.

    Best. Philippe
