Finder Folders losing path when moved to backup computer

I've searched a bit I'm a little confused by the responses.
Some say the links are relative to the millumin file, which would mean the finder folders would be fine if the folder structure is the same from the millumin file down.
Others say that the Finder Folder had to have the same exact path from the hard drive to the linked file. Which is what I'm experiencing.
Which leaves me to wonder if I've missed a setting or if in fact groups use relative file references and Finder Folders use an absolute convention from the hard drive to the file.

First of all, the best way to transfer a project on another computer is to use the "collect files" feature. More info in this article.
When Millumin opens a project, it looks for files at the paths they are supposed to be (the path saved inside the project file). If Millumin cannot find a file, it will look for them in sub-folders (from where the project file is located). For Finder folders, it is the same behavior but Millumin will also check the structure of folder for a potential match (in other words, if Millumin finds a folder with the same name, it will then check that the subfolders also have the same names).
