Alpha Video Stuttering at Start (ProRes 4444)

Hello,

I’m experiencing a recurring issue when playing videos with an alpha channel in Millumin. At the beginning of playback, the video sometimes stutters or skips a few frames. This doesn’t happen every time, but it occurs about 50% of the time, which makes it noticeable and problematic—especially during live performances.

Has anyone else experienced this? Do you know what might be causing this, or is there any known workaround or solution?

Details:

File format: ProRes 4444 with alpha
Resolution: 3840 × 2160
Frame rate: 30fps
Hardware: MacBook Pro M1 Max, 64GB RAM, 1TB SSD
