Can't use midi to control volume of independent timeline audio layers when playing from dashboard

I have a projection piece with multichannel audio and found that putting everything in a timeline keeps everything in sync better than looping it in the dashboard.

I am now having trouble controlling the volume of my layers using midi. It works fine when I am playing directly from the timeline view, but when I drop the timeline into the dashboard the volume controls no longer work.

I swear I have this working fine on a different install, so I'm wondering if there is something I'm missing?

    Hello @hoppy,

    Indeed, the interactions are executed within the timeline but not if embedded in the dashboard or in another timeline. This is mainly due to performance reasons, especially if a timeline is embedded multiple times.

    If you want to control a parameter outside the timeline, you can use the timeline parameters.
