ISF parameter TYPE "image" menu lists only picture files
If I use an ISF file with an “image” parameter, Millumin generates a menu listing only audio inputs and png files.
It seems that audio inputs should only be present for the “audio” parameter.
And the menu for the “image” parameter could be populated with movies and ISF files from the library, not just png files.
And a must would be to have all layers in this same menu, so you can do stuff in the shader with pixels from other layers.
And the same goes for audio parameters.

Hello @deuzair,
Indeed, if an ISF has an "image" parameter, Millumin only lists images and inputs media (camera, Syphon or NDI for example). This is mainly for test purposes.
Indeed, this is not planned to have all kind of media or layers in this list. Mainly for 3 reasons (by order of importance) :
I hope it make sense. We cannot implement everything : we have to make choice, both for interface's sake and because any feature takes time to develop. However, feel free to share with us you use case, so we could better understand why you need this (instead of using your ISF as an effect).

Hello Philippe,
Of course you make choices to guarantee the quality and usability of Millumin, and that's a lot of work and thought. I'm just in my role as a user to discuss functionality and workflow, and it's yours to make trade-offs and think about the bigger picture!
My use case is to add an effect to only part of a video. I was thinking of a way to use a second input in my ISF-FX to use another layer to make the dynamic MATTE where I want to apply the effect.
my experience is using node-based software, and it could be a habit to use another video stream as a matte/input and do it at different points in my stream.
A layer list might be a nitghtmare to browse, but it could be organised by layers, and by groups, of groups, of groups, if we can use nested groups !
thank you

Hello @deuzair,
Thank you for the detailled info. However, this is a lot of work, design and tests. So before commiting to anything, we want to be sure it could be useful to many users.
For now, you can do a dynamic matte with 2 layers, more info in this tutorial.
