Latency between image and audio on a video projection
Hello,
I have a problem of synchronization between the image and the audio on a video projection for a live theater show.
The video and audio source are both from the same mov file.
Here are the technical specs:
- Millumin version is 4.18.i
- MacBook Air M1 2020 8G RAM
- mov file resolution is 1920 × 1080
- Video image projected with Optoma EH470 plugged with HDMI cable
- Sound output: Macbook plugged with Mini-jack (3,5mm) to a Soundcraft audio mixer and then plugged with XLR to 2 Mackie Thump 215 stéreo speackers.
When I play the file on the computer with millumin, using the computer sreen and listening with the computer speakers there is no synchronisation problem. When I plugg it to the video projector and to the audio système I have a delay between the image and the audio!
Any ideia?
Best regards,
Rafael

Hello @Houdini,
It looks like that the processing time for the video and the audio is different : is the audio late (in comparison of the video) ? What is this delay : 1 second ? 50 ms ?
Be sure to check the latency of your sound system. If needed, you can add a delay your your video outputs in Millumin/Outputs. See this article.
