PJ Link

I'm trying to control the shutter of a projector by connecting it to my MacBook via an Ethernet cable. When I enter the projector's IP address in a web browser, the projector's control panel appears, but it doesn't connect through PJ Link. On my MacBook, the network settings are configured as follows: the IP address is set to 192.168.0.150, and the subnet mask is 255.255.255.0. Do you know what might be causing the issue? (The projector connects without any problem when I use a different MacBook.)

  • Hello @april,

Are you running macOS Sequoia ?

If so, be sure Millumin is authorized to use the network in macOS System Settings.

  • Hello @simzinho,

It does not seem to be related to this thread.

Please send us an email stating, so we could open a ticket about your issue (please tell us what is your version of Millumin).

  • Hi,

I've a kind of the same problem as @april . I'm on Sequoia 15.3.1 and 5.12 for Millumin.

All in the system settings looks authorized for Millumin. I see two times the same problem, on a Epson projetor and Panasonic, the connection is random and it could make much time and I've no idea why.

Direct link to the projector, no password, when I start the computer I've instantly the command on web browser but for Millumin nop, it could take some minuts to finally be connected.

    Some ideas ? Thx

  • Hello @Diolo,

When the PJLink is working, is it stable until you reboot your computer ?

When the problem happens, do you see a difference with Projector Manager ?

Could you send us a TeamViewer session (or equivalent) via email, so we could check this out ?

    Best. Philippe

  • Hello Philippe,

Thanks for your answer. Yes it looks stable as long I don't turn it off the computer.

When I start, the web browser, Projector Manager works also directly and also my others network devices like Dante Virtual Soundcard.

After a couple of reboot this morning to understand and find a way how the control of the projector could be back on Millumin, I founded by chance, if I turn it on, turn it off the wifi, the connection is established on Millumin, weird ? If I don't do that, it's look I can wait as long I can without a connection.

I will send you a mail for a teamviewer, thank you.

  • Hello @Diolo,

It seems that you have multiple network interface, and the problem may come from Millumin not using the right one to communicate with the projector.

We received your email for futher investigation. Thank you.

    Best. Philippe
