Live camera over video tracks.
Hi All,
just discovered this software and before I spend considerable time learning to use it I would love to know whether it can do what I need.
I am creating a live music performance show, with video projected to a screen on stage. At times I want to be able to mix a live feed of the performer onto the screen over the existing video. In other words a camera will be pointed at the performer, and during the show this view will be projected, but sometimes mixed with one of the videos. This will be on a pre-programmed per particular song basis. Everything will of course be run from a timeline so I need the ability to pre-program the live feed video fade ins and outs over existing material.
I will most likely be using Steinberg VST Live 2 for all the backing tracks, live audio inputs and treatments, and DMX lighting (or possibly GigPerformer - haven't decided which will be the better option yet). Whilst VST Live can play all the video tracks, it cannot accept a camera input. Hence a third party app. It may mean that I will need to run all the video - tracks and live, from another app, synced to VST Live for triggering or changes. VST Live at the moment only acts as a master MTC, but an update is coming so that it could be the slave.
Sorry if this is a bit convoluted but all I need to know is if this can be done, and Millumin can happily co-exist in a live situation either as the master or slave. I have seen a few Video DJ apps that look as if they may do the job, but they are primarily focussed on video effects for DJs, rather than flexible stage performance solutions.
I'd be very grateful for any advice, pointers, and ideas on how best to set up for this type of show. Hopefully Millenum can do the job. I know this will be a huge learning curve for me, coming from an audio background (but with basic video editing experience in Premiere & Da Vinci), which is why I want to be sure it can be done before I go down this rabbit hole ...!

Hello @Scardo,
Short answer : yes.
If you are beginning with Millumin, I recommend you to read the first tutorial here to quickly get the basics. Then you can read these articles about timecode here and capturing a camera here.
Best. Philippe
