What is the better configuration for...

Hi everybody,

For an opera project I will plan to make a millumin configuration.

I will have some media to show and a GH5 live camera. I will have 3 FHD videoprojector as output. Each projector make a picture in a different place on the stage (no softedge, no movie cut on several projector). And I have a cathodic TV too on stage (just at the end of the show).

Which configuration is the best for me ?

I have a Macbook pro M1 Max (64go of RAM) with 2 deckink Duo 2 and a SSD (so 8 SDI input/output)

or

I have a Mac Studio M2 Max (32go of RAM I can have one with 64go if needed) with 4 HDMI thunderbolt adapter and one Blacmagic Ultra Studio 3G recorder (for capturing GH5). Or I can put the 2 decklink Duo 2 too.


For record media I have a RAID thunderbold with 5 SSD.

The show is about 3 hours

    Except for the computer configuration which need your advice, in other words my question is what is better for millumin :

    Mac thunderbolt output or blackmagic capture card ?

    Hello @Rogers76,

    Both computers can output to your 3 videoprojectors.

    Technically, it is more efficient to output directly from the graphic card (I mean Thunderbolt output), than to transfer the data to a Blackmagic output card.
