New to the board and I've been searching both here and Facebook. Looking to figure out if there is a way to get feedback into companion to help my operators.

Is there a way to get column names through a variable WITHOUT launching the column?

Is there a way to get feedback that a column is active in OSC or through variables?


I haven't seen (or found) anything searching through companion, the knowledgebase or forums.

    I've setup a page that shows

    a specific layers playing remaining time,

    the column index

    and sync button to make backup mac to jump to matching column id of the main mac.

    would be great (for me) to have access via millumin variables of filename of current column specific layer, and filename of next column of that layer :)

    I've looked through the generic osc module but havent got anything to pull that info back out from a query....

    Hello @Millumin , I'm also echoing this request.

    I'm looking for feedback variables in Companion/OSC specifically to pull an individual column's title variable. For my use case it is in order to auto-populate buttons.

    I realize that there is already a feedback variable that provides the name of the currently playing column, but this is not quite what we're looking for. Are other variables possible?
