Millumin: Different transitions in Layers between columns

Hello,

I struggle with the following:

I have two layers, the above layer is expanded from column to column with a blend mode of screen, so the layer beneath is visible.

In the layer beneath I want to fire several short clips in no transition time. So far, so good.

What I want is to reduce the opacity of the layer above with the extended clip that is playing through all the columns. I can do so by changing the fade time for the columns.

BUT: This affects all the layers and is not what I want since the clips in the layer beneath shall still fire in no time.

I have no idea how to solve this. Can anybody have a hint for me? Any thought will be appreciated.

    Hi, did you try using "Media transition" on your short clips ?
