Quel ordinateur privilégier pour le spectacle vivant ?

Bonjour,

J'ai travaillé jusqu'à présent sur un équivalent iMac 2017 (photo jointe), pour du spectacle vivant (diffusion FullHD sur 3 à 4 VP + flux vidéo d'une Go-pro + Lights gérées via ENTECC).

Je vais racheter un nouvel ordi car celui-ci commence à montrer ses limites. J'hésite entre 2 options :

  • soit un Mac book pro M1max (14 pouces)
  • soit un Mac studio M1max

tous les 2 ont 32 Go de mémoire.

Le Macstudio est l'option la plus onéreuse et je suis prêt à pencher pour elle si ce choix est hautement préférable (surtout pour la diffusion), mais l'option MacBook pro me séduirait plus pour son aspect pratique (notamment pouvoir bosser dessus facilement un peu n'importe où).

Mon inquiétude est surtout côté refroidissement de la machine, je sais que le MacStudio serait plus adapté pour des sessions longues (spectacles d'1h30... mais aussi des journées entières en phase de création).

Pourriez-vous me donner votre avis concernant le MacBook pro ? Est-ce qu'avec cette option "portative" je prends de gros risques de faire planter les spectacles ? :))

    ... j'ai omis de préciser que j'utilise également un convertisseur AJA HDMI 4K vers 4 sorties SDI (HA5 4K)... donc le MacBook pro me suffirait côté nombre de ports de sortie.

    Ma crainte se situe vraiment sur la perte de performance de la machine sur la durée.

    I have worked on an iMac 2017 equivalent (photo attached), for live shows (FullHD broadcast on 3 to 4 VPs + video stream from a Go-pro + Lights managed via ENTECC).

    I'm going to buy a new computer because it's starting to show its limits.

    I'm hesitating between 2 options:

    • either a Mac book pro M1max (14 inches)
    • either a Mac studio M1max

    both have 32 GB of memory.

    The Macstudio is the most expensive option and I am ready to go for it if this choice is highly preferable (especially for broadcasting), but the MacBook pro option would appeal to me more for its practical aspect (in particular being able to work on it easily a almost anywhere).

    My concern is mainly about the cooling of the machine, I know that the MacStudio would be more suitable for long sessions (1h30 shows... but also whole days in the creation phase).

    Could you give me your opinion on the MacBook pro? With this “portable” option, am I taking a big risk of crashing the shows? :))

    ... I forgot to specify that I also use an AJA HDMI 4K to 4 SDI output converter (HA5 4K)... so the MacBook pro would be enough for me in terms of the number of output ports.

    My fear really lies in the loss of performance of the machine over time.
