BMD devices

Hi everybody,


On IMac, I've some issues with BMD devices :

- UltraStudio Express SDI output (1080i50)

- Mini Recorder SDI input (1080i50)

When I plug the two devices, I got a small image with glitches. No problem when I unplug one of them. 

The BMD technician told me it’s a problem about bandwidth


Any feedback ?

    Are you connecting each device on a different Thunderbolt port ?
    Did the Blackmagic support give you a solution ?

    Yes, each device is connected on different Thunderbolt. BMD support explained me that the problem is linked to the bandwidth's limitation...

    Hello @PPHHMM,

    The answer from BMD support seems odd to me : iMac's motherboard should be able to handle such 2x1080i feeds.

    On our side, we tested several times 2 BMD card at the time (on different MacBookPro), capturing 1080p feeds, and it was working properly.
    Even with an old MacBookPro and only one Thunderbolt 1 port, we were able to handle 2x1080p feeds. See this post.
    You should insist with BMD support, and cite the post that I just mentionned.
