Millumin V3 stutters on Apple Silicon

Hello,

I'm projecting several videos across 5 areas of the screen.

And regularly, some of the videos stutter.

A maximum of 5 videos at a time. The videos have a transparent background (alpha channel), and I'm also projecting a background behind each video. The videos are scaled down (to 60%).

Could you help me find the source of the problem?

My machine seems quite powerful: Max Studio M2 Max 2023 32GB running Sequoia. And I'm using Millumin 3.18.t (I trigger the animations via MIDI from QLab.)

    Hello @gemasco,

    Millumin V3 is not optimized for Apple Silicon machines (M1, M2, ...) : while Apple translator Rosetta brings decent performances, it might be not sufficient in your case (several ProRes4444 movies).

    For comparison, could you try with Millumin V5 (you can download it on your account page or on our website) ?
