Hi, I am trying to open a project that has a disconnected audio interface.

This pop-up appears, asking me to replace it, however, no matter what I click, Ok, Cancel, or changing to any other interface, nothing happens, and Millumin is just stuck there. I have to force quit it to get it to close.

Now I have no way to open this project has it always pop this message up, and pressing any button has no response.

When I use the position records in order to move my file from left to right, especially if the transition is long, some lag can happen.

Is there a solution? Anti-aliasing settings? Projection settings?

Any clue?

To accomplish this, I attempted to create one piece of media on my board which has the formatting I was looking for. I then copied that into a different column and went to replace the media by dragging the separate .txt file onto the media while holding Option. Unfortunately, this cleared font/size/alignment settings. This seems different from how video files work.

Is there a better approach for this?

I'm working on a show that uses a bunch of .txt files. This is super great and I love how easy it is to drag those files in as media. However, it seems that every time I restart the file (Quit and re-open Millumin), I need to re-link the finder folder the .txt files sit in in order to get them to appear.

Notably, there are no warnings about unlinked content; the text just doesn't render at all.

This is via Mac Mini M4, over 2x DP1.4 outputs, into Novastar MX2000 Pro. Both outputs are natively framelocked. No adapters, hubs or any software required. MacOS sees a single 12288x2688p60 display.

I want to upgrade my 5.14.j to .k but I have the proposition to upgrade to Beta 5.15.j and even if the 5.14.k is present at the bottom of the page I can't select it.

And I had Millumin Beta 5.15.f which doesn't launch anymore, I have a message "this beta version expired", I can't upgrade directly to Beta 5.15.j.

It would be nice, and less dangerous if we open a standard version to have only the standard upgrade and if we open a beta version to have a beta upgrade because when I upgrade I erase the older even if I change the name of the app file (I wrote Millumin5.14.j but it turned to beta after the upgrade).

I have a Decklink 8K Pro Gen 2 in a Helios 3 enclosure.

I've made a single canvas that's 7680*4320, and setup Video Routing with Many Canvases to 1 Output at that res. I've sliced the canvas into 4 slices on that Routing layout and because I only have HD led processors in the shop right now, am sending to a 2160p30 output to the Decklink.

In BM Desktop Video, I've set port 1 to SDI 1 to 4 In and Out, to both 8K30 and 4320p30, Quad Link, SQ format

Side by side on the LED, the two signals are out of step with each other, they come and go.

Playback is on an M3 Ultra with some extra ram.

Am I missing something to get the benefit of the decklink card for syncing 4 outputs? I only need 2 for this buuuut...

I'm trying to get light intensity value of using simple script with "Millumin.getLightIntensity("name/id")." But I always get 0 value... I think, my id is not the good one, but I don't understand where find the good one...

I also try to use the "Millumin.setIntensity(indexOrName, value)" cmd but the log say that, this function doesn't exist.

Someone here use this scripting tricks ?

Recently I tested controlling millumin by Companion.

Most of Functions worked well.

But, I couldn't get the remaining time of media well.

I put "$(millumin:timeLayerRemainingTime)" on button text string and It seemed work.

but it only showed secends. and I want to convert it to hh:mm:sss format.

Do you have any ideas to fix this?

When will a workflow be available to use equirectangular 12k driving video plates as supplied by companies like plate-pros and sim-plates?

Currently the only solution is to slice them up and attempt distortions to make clean views.

Pixera and LiveFX both handle them natively, allowing you to rotate the view 360-degrees in real time.

We love using Millumin, but this has become a real limiting factor…

When triggering columns where video and audio are split into separate layers, I'm experiencing audio truncation at the start of playback.

How can I resolve this issue?

I am using Millumin for a video project in which i embed a Touchdesigner tox file for the interaction.

The interaction consists on generating counters connected to sensors. Everytime a sensor is triggered, the counter is updated and transition between numbers is animated.

Everything is fine inside Touchdesigner but when integrated into Millumin, the animations are like twice as fast compared to when generated inside Touchdesigner interface.

Touchdesigner project is set to 25fps. Inside Millumin, i set the tox file to be also 25fps but can't seem to have any effect, fps set to 60 or 25 inside Millumin, the animation is always too fast.

Any insight ?

I have a show that uses 6 audio outputs, 4 of which are sent in a sound card and 2 by the L/R of the earphone jack. When I send pink noise in the L/R of the headphones, they still play in the sound card... see photos attached.

millumin v5.14j, focusrite scarlett solo gen3 connected directly via thunderbolt 3 cable, receiving LTC from ableton via XLR input.

sometimes millumin just "forgets" the audio interface exists in the audio timecode input options. sometimes this takes 6 hours, sometimes 15 minutes. the "device" field just becomes blank, sometimes clicking on it gives you the option for the Scarlett Solo again immediately, but not always and sometimes millumin must be restarted for it to show up again.

have tried a new cable, same problem. every mac os option is set to never sleep, permissions are fine, when it works it works great, until it doesn't... not sure what to try next.

Lorsque je monitor via Chataigne, je reçois des data qui semble être des entiers (je reçois 255 pour FF par exemple). J'ai peut-être loupé quelque chose.... J'ai une solution sous le coude via châtaigne justement mais si (grâce aux scripts) je peux tout faire dans Millumin ça peut être vraiment top !

I'm trying to connect an Arduino nano to Millumin, to get the status on D2 (I just want a button to "launch next column").

I've tried many things, but I still have the same issue :

I get the D2 status 4 or 5 times, and then it stuck on HIGH or LOW status, and nothing more append.

I tried with :

- auto-program (D2 - IN)

- a specific program with MilluminStream Library

- a specific program that only send alternatively 1 and 0 each second (to be sure I have no issue with my button)

- several Arduino nano

- several usb cable

Each time, I have to click on "reconnect" to restart the Arduino, then it works 4 or 5 times, then it stuck.

Version :

Millumin 5.14.j

MacBook Pro - macOS Tahoe 26.3

Do you have an idea, why it works only few times ?

I noticed a litte bug in the dashboard list. a timeline appears in loop mode event if it's not in this state.

On a simple cue I project one grid from a layer of the board on a canvas and one grid comming from a timeline on a second canvas.

The grid from the timeline appears much later than the one from the layer of the board.

I checked if there was a black at the beginning of the timeline but no...

I hope the video attached will be clear.

As you can see there is a segment in the timeline and one canvas is 1080p and the other one in 2160p.

An explication?

I am trying to achieve a simple task like using the blob tracker to trigger a column : when a blob is present, trigger column #2 and when the blob disappear trigger column #1.

I can't figure out how to achieve this. I tried the blob tracker radius option but can't figure out how to tell millumin to trigger a chosen column based on presence or not.

Any idea ?

Am using a Sonnet TB3 enclosure run from a M4 Max MBP. And even with two 12G outputs they’re not synchronised?

Had considered purchasing the new Sonnet TB5 enclosure when it’s out, but not yet convinced this will produce the synchronised outputs?

Thoughts?

I tested adding sections in the beta version, it's a good fonctionnality but I don't find how to set the end column and if I move a section with 4 columns the section extend the end of the dashboard or or extends to the next section.

I think it's better to set the end column of a section that not change on move or on insert column at the end of section.

Is there somewhere hidden a Save current state action still available ?

I enjoyed the older because I could try a new state and decide after to record it or to keep the older properties.

When I work quietly at home I have no problem but when I'm on stage receiving 3 orders per seconds from directors the auto state is not so easy and Ctrl Z not the best.

Am I the only one in this situation ?

I've experienced this happening rarely but still a few times:

Sometimes when pressing space instead of launching the next column, the board jumps back to its first column (bad to happen in a live show with lights, for example).

Anyone else experiencing this issue? (Was never able to recreate this issue on purpose.)

I tried to override any other trigger by assigning SPACE to Launch Next Column in my Interactions; hope this will fix the problem ...
