    Thanks Philippe,

We did use the "Split into 3x1" feature, and then readjusted the slices properly. The main reason for not producing a 5760x1080 is to keep a little margin if the screens do not fit exactly what was planned (as you know, it happens everytime!).
Thanks for creating the idea on uservoice!

    @kit,

You can just use both AE and Millumin interfaces on Screen 2 and display your Millumin "result" on Screen 1.
No problem for that, just don't display Millumin interface in Full screen, but in "windowed" mode. As well you'll have both interfaces on Screen 2. Meanwhile, there is no problem for display your Full Screen Millumin "result" on Screen 1.

    Hope it can help you,

    Dear @kit,
Did you setup your displays correctly? I mean that, if I get what you're saying, it looks like you're in mirror mode and not extended. This is a setup related to OSX, not Millumin.
    Check this page: http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT20235

After that, you'll be able to setup the FullScreen of Milllumin to show up on the output connected with your projector. ("Output" tab > "Multiscreen" tab" , and you select your output screen under the display).

Regarding you setup, I assume the configuration I described should do exactly what you need, you just have to setup the edge-blending by the normal way.
I didn't test it yet, but there is no reason it wouldn't work.
If you have further questions do not hesitate to send me a private message ;-)

    Dear @peppinoline,
Indeed, I do speak French, but the rules are the rules, this forum is english only ;-)Regarding your project, I think you might reconsider your installation, because using full res for blending images is very poor in terms of efficiency. That's why we call this setup "edge-blending", with which you build one full image out of the 2 signals. If you just want to put 2 different images from 2 projectors side by side, even if they're physically turned by 90°, you won't need the edge-blending function. This might work for you:- In "System Preferences">"Monitors", select the "Display" tabs of 2 the external monitors and rotate them using the "Rotation" option (http://osxdaily.com/2010/12/28/rotate-mac-screen-orientation/). This way, it will be easier for you to configure your setup.- In "Millumin">"Output", choose a custom resolution of 2160x1920, and in the "Multiscreen" tab, select your 2 external monitors as screens.Let my know if it suits you.

Although it's not included yet, there is a workaround that you can find here: http://www.forum.millumin.com/discussion/256/vertical-edge-blending-method/p1

    @benjamin,

You can have a look at http://quartzcomposer.com/about
By the way, it's somewhat easy to discover and begin with ;-)

I think that @mano wanted to be able to adjust the geometry of the outputs directly from the Millumin instances, and not from the projectors, isn't it?

  • vbaudron commented on a discussion.
I assume that what @mano wants, is to create a vertical edge blending of 3 projectors, following your tutorial http://forum.millumin.com/discussion/256/vertical-edge-blending-method/p1. It's usually what the "stack" term means.
Maybe the main concern of @mano is about the processor, ram, and graphic card consumption of such a configuration.

    Dear @fusion,

I think I get what kind of functions you want and admits that it could be very useful.
If I understand well, you would like, for example :
    - Control Change Channel 1 / 1 / from 0>50: launch cell 1 of layer 1
    - Control Change Channel 1 / 1 / from 51>100: launch cell 2 of layer 1
    - Control Change Channel 1 / 1 / from 101>127: launch cell 3 of layer 1
    Is this what you mean?

    Cheers,

    Dear @shuptrine,

Did you simply try to pause it from the Dashboard? You need to open the "time" panel by clicking the two left arrows "

It seems to be a problem of colourspaces, this pink phenomenon is likely related to a RGB signal that is seen as a YPrPb signal. You'll find many people facing the same kind of trouble (http://www.avsforum.com/t/922232/hdmi-output-results-in-pink-layer , http://www.avsforum.com/t/1467191/pink-screen-on-lcd-tv-intermittent, http://www.avsforum.com/t/803736/pink-screen-only-with-hdmi-switching-receiver ).
Most BMD products only support YPrPb signals (roughly video and broadcast signals, as RGB is more for computer outputs).

Maybe you should check the output settings of your kramer scaler and DVD player to conduct some testings on colourspaces.
Also, did you double-check your HDMI cable?

    Dear @Arveen,

What kind of source do you use with your UltraStudio Mini Recorder?

Why don't you want to play this on a Dashboard?
It would be, to my opinion, the easiest for what you're doing.
You can then either insert your 90' video directly from the Dashboard, or, if you need to use composition for this video, insert this composition with only your 90' video into the Dashboard.
Then, on a second layer, you'll have all the clips to be launched by the stage manager.

    Cheers ;-)

    Dear @alenmecan,
Did you try to disable the HDCP everywhere you can, especially on the MGP464? We already had some trouble with this, as SD/HD SDI doesn't handle HDCP-protected content.
For example, I'm almost certain that PS3s and DVD players always stream HDCP content, that can't be streamed through SD/HD-SDI.
It might be a reason why you encounter those problems.

    Dear Philippe,

Do you think it could be possible to do almost the same with Screen corners/position transformations, in order to share these transformations among several different .millu files?

    Thanks,

    Dear all,

Sorry, but I don't think it's possible to use the HDMI output together with a TripleHead on the MacMini. I'm pretty sure that I tried it, without success.

    Hi @Baptiste,

What you can do is :
    - System Preferences > Mission Control > unselect "screens have distinct spaces" (my Mac is in French, it's a litteral translation of "Les écrans disposent d'écrans distincts")
This will make your screens act as under earlier OS's.

    Hi everybody!
I have a little question about MilluPlug, and i'd like to have your feedback on it.I set MilluPlug up to change X and Y positions of 6 sliced layers in my composition, corresponding to a Midi fader on a Korg NanoKontrol.Meanwhile, I have a MIDI mapping on Millumin, to launch/stop/change opacity of layers and columns.I noticed that, if I move the Midi fader, it does change the X/Y positions of my layers, but while it's moving, Millumin isn't responding to my MIDI orders corresponding to the Millumin mapping anymore. It comes back after the layers are done with the orders from Milluplug. Is there any way, for you, to be able to keep the MIDI/Millumin control while the Milluplug orders are acting?
Thanks in advance, and sorry if I can't make myself crystal-clear ;-)

    Dear Philippe,

Thanks for your solution, it can be some kind of bypass for some applications, not for all, but at least we have something ;-)

    Have a good day,
